- Abercrombie and Fitch's corporate website states their social responsibility and environmental missions:

- Social mission: - "Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is proud of our commitment to global and human labour rights, and to ensuring that our products are only made in safe and responsible facilities. We partner with suppliers who respect local laws and share our dedication to utilizing the best practices in human rights, labour rights and workplace safety. A&F believes that business should should only be conducted with honesty and respect for the dignity and rights of all people."

- Environmental mission: - "As a company, we recognise the importance of environmental stewardship. We are committed to advancing environmental initiatives in our internal practices, by increasing education and awareness throughout our partnership base, and through collaboration with the communities where we make and sell our products. On behalf of the customers, employees, shareholders, and the communities we serve, we strive to continually reduce the environmental impact of our business."

- Collaborated with Rainforest Action Network to create a new policy on sourcing wood-based fabrics such as rayon that will limit deforestation.
- Ensure that fabrics used in produce are not linked to endangered forests or in violation of the rights of indigenous people who depend on the forests.
- Kim Harr, senior director of sustainability at Abercrombie and Fitch stated - "At A&F we have a history of demonstrating our commitment to environmental responsibility through our actions, and this new policy is a further step on our ongoing sustainability journey. We know there is a need for better supply chain traceability and, with RAN's support, we can now make an even greater positive impact."

>However:

- Their corporate website doesn't actually show any evidence of social or environmental change/positive impact. - what they actually do.

- A sustainability report from April 2017 states:- "Hollister has achieved the E-label. This is our lowest possible sustainability score, and Hollister has earned it by communicating nothing concrete about the policies for environment, carbon emissions or labour conditions in low-wage countries. For us as consumers, it is unclear whether Hollister is committed to sustainability or not."
